We take test security and data integrity very seriously, and our client list of blue-chip companies and international test and survey organizations is a testimony to the trust they put in us. We do not only apply the best practices described in the International Test Commission Guidelines for Translating and Adapting Tests, we design our own practices, test them in large-scale production environments, streamline them and, of course, promote them.
cApStAn team members publish peer-reviewed articles in journals (e.g. Localisation Focus or Journal of Refugee Studies) and chapters in reference books. Our editors are leading researchers in international assessment and influential academics in the field of cross cultural survey methodology. See list of publications below .
We organize workshops on linguistic quality assurance, standardized reporting and translation technology. We successfully pivoted from F2F to interactive webinars.
We present our translation quality assessment methodology at the Comparative Survey Design and Implementation (CSDI) workshop, at symposia organized in Europe (GESIS), the US and Canada (NCME). Our founding partner Steve Dept serves on the Advisory Board of the Cross Cultural Survey Guidelines.
We are actively involved in the Association of Test Publishers and its European arm (ATP and E-ATP), the International Test Commission (ITC) and the European Survey for Research Association (ESRA) conferences. We occasionally present together with partner organizations.
We send out a monthly newsletter and periodically update our blog with articles about testing, surveys, translation and language. We host free webinars on hot topics related to test and survey translation and adaptation.
